... it's the first anniversary of Mum's passing today. Where has the year gone? I've been really aware of it the past few days - more than I expected if I'm honest. It's probably been worse because I've not really been able to keep myself busy, which is how I usually cope with emotional things. Keep busy, push 'em to back of mind, try to ignore and hope they go away. Hasn't happened this time!
Not posted for a week! A whole week and nothing added - mainly because I've not been in the mood. Not in the mood for much just lately as still don't feel well and having probs with leg and finding it difficult to move around. Hopefully a visit to the doc tomorrow may start to answer some questions as to what's happening with me 'cos I'm fed up of feeling like an old woman!
Yet another week gone past with nothing done towards sorting interior of house out. If it keeps on at this rate I may as well chuck everything out and start with a blank canvas. Would be quicker that's for certain! There's been a fair bit going on as well.
Eldest's house has now gone and he's 'proper homeless' according to him. I gave a hand to help pack up towards the end 'cos daughter-in-law was getting pretty stressed. Their marriage may have broken down but it doesn't mean that we're casting her adrift. She's been part of the family for 18 years and is still the mother of my eldest grandchildren. She does have to accept that the marriage is over though and having to sell the house and move may help her to move on - and him, for that matter, as I know he's had his doubts that they're doing the right thing. Guess it's a pretty emotional time all round right now, which certainly doesn't help with the mood.
On a lighter note - I had a day at the Glitterpot on Friday with my mate Cally. A day of classes with Julie Hickey using Craftwork Cards products. We made 4 beautiful cards (well 3 and an unfinished one ... or 3 - lol!) plus a challenge one! Julie challenged us to each make a card using the strip of card cut off of an A4 to make a square card. We had to use that with the offcuts left over from our other cards and we could use any of her embellishments. Considering that we all had the same materials to work with it's amazing how different each card was. Julie photographed them all when we'd finished and she's posted the results on her blog. Pop back soon to see my makings with a note of the materials used and ..... my challenge card - which is slightly different to the photo on Julie's blog 'cos I turned the greeting around .....

While you're there take a note of my new watermark. How long I'll be able to use it for I have no idea but it's with grateful thanks to Toni! She made it for me, as a surprise, months ago but I've not been able to use it. Recently, however, I've had the where-with-all to do so and, with a bit of tweaking here and there I've now added it to my latest piccies. Whether I keep the facility to continue to be able to use it I don't know yet but, I will certainly use it all the while I can ......
Thanks for dropping by .....
