As Cathy said ....

Didn't we have a luvverly time .......... the day we went to Pippa's!! And it was a lovely day. There were 6 of us in the end as a couple had to drop out, unfortunately, but for very valid reasons. Pippa provided a superb lunch and, what was even better ...... the weather was wonderful and allowed us to eat 'alfresco'! Last time Pippa hosted a 'play day' it was just that - playing! I carted my Cuttlebug (I was the only one who owned one at the time), my Wizard and all of my dies/folder - Cuttlebug, Sizzix and Wizard and everyone just played! This time it was more organised and we had some proper crafting sessions. We made a card each using the Woodware Flower & Leaf punches - inspiration taken from Jane Gill's class I did a few weeks ago - and Jan took us through her iris folding decoupage technique. We had time for a couple of short FPC demo's - really easy flowers - and a few tips as well as tea, weetabix cake รก la Debs and biccies. It's worth repeating - didn't we have a luvverly time? We surely did!! :o))

Here's the card I made this time with the Flower & Leaf punches. I made it slightly different (punch is different in any case) to the one made in Jane's class but I did make a mistake that I'm hoping to be able to correct. Can you spot it???

This is my version of the iris folding decoupage card. Again, I made a mistake but in this instance it didn't really matter. Love the effect of this card and it's so easy to do when you know how. It's easier to do than to explain - lol! Both cards need finishing as neither has a greeting although they may not need it but I think the poppy card may benefit from a bit of border embellishment. (Click on an image to enlarge)

Thank you ladies for a lovely day and I look forward to the next one - lol!!

Thanks for dropping by .....

Not sure if I`m doing this properly and its quite scary really. I`ve never left a message on a blog before lol.
I just wanted to confirm, yes we did have a luvverley time, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and we had just enough people to make it a perfect day.
I don`t think we get together nowhere nearly enough and its all the more special because of it

Yes, the day was brilliant from beginning to end Pam. Thanks so much for the FPC demo, you make it look so easy! I'm just pleased everyone managed to make my iris folding/decoupage card despite my written & verbal instructions! Looking forward to the next time we get together.
