Update ...

...to this entry ...... we've 3 new babies from what I can see. Unfortunately I can only see the top of our dormer roof from up the road and at a distance but, I'm sure I saw 3 little bundles of grey in the middle of the roof when I was on my way home from Dad's today - with parent on guard!! I'm pretty sure I saw 2 little heads a few days ago. I'd taken my camera with me today 'cos I reckoned I could stop and try and get a photo on my way home but there wasn't a parking space to pull into and I'd have blocked the road if I'd just stopped. I'll keep the camera handy though 'cos chances are I'll be able to get a shot sometime next week when most peeps are at work. Just hope it won't be too far away to get a decent piccie. We've now to be prepared for a dive-bombing campaign every time we need to go out the back - lol! :o((

Hubby got a surprise while I was out at the crafting day on Thursday. He proudly showed me a badge he'd received in the post that morning - he was sooo chuffed - but he hadn't known I'd sent for it to surprise him. He thought the MOD had been trawling through their records ......... as if!! It was his UK Veteran's Badge, the same that I'd got for my Dad a few weeks ago. Hubby had served as a regular in the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment in the late 1950's, early 1960's. I'd had to make some sly enquiries re his service number etc. but having all this stuff going on with Dad it made it quite easy to 'just be curious'. Seems funny to think that, while I was just starting Junior School, at the age of 7, he was serving Queen and country - LOL!!

Thanks for dropping by .....

The cards look super Pam. I'm glad you've found the time to do some card-making. You must be exhausted. So glad OH was surprised by his Veterans Badge. There are 3 baby seagulls on the Church roof again this year but none nearer to us, as there were last year.

What a lovely surprise for your hubby Pam and such a nice thing to do for him. I love surprising people, it's a great feeling if you succeed!
