Google Reader and ...

... also Google Friends Connect (Following) are being made obsolete from July.  I use Reader daily to keep up with the blogs I follow.  I've been looking for an alternative and have discovered, through Krista of Saturated Canary, what I think will be a viable alternative .... Bloglovin :)

If you want to find out more about it take a look here.  It seems they're gearing up to take Google Reader users so all power to them.  I've posted a button on my sidebar to take over from the Google Followers bit so, if any of you on there want to continue to follow me, for what it's worth, then why not give Bloglovin a try?

Word verification ...

.... one, spammers Nil!  I decided to take word verification off yesterday as I'd had no spam at all, in any way, shape or form, since putting it on.  Today?  It starts coming back in and within a 5 minute period I'd got 3 spam messages in my inbox trying to post in my comments.  I know Blogger's spam filter stops them before they get to the comments but it really is a pain having them fill my inbox.  Think that the word verification will stay, at least until I start blogging in earnest again. :0(

Word verification ...

... I hate it.  It puts me off of commenting on other blogs and I've refused to use it myself - until now.  I've put it on this blog.  I don't get many comments so it won't affect many people, if any, at the moment but I've been getting so many 'spam' comments (mainly targetted at the same blog post) that I've had to do something.  These comments haven't actually made their way into the comments as they've been caught by Bloggers spam filter, which is very good.  Until this month that filter has been enough but these past 2 to 3 weeks my email inbox has been inundated with comment notifications - and Blogger had isolated over 300 in just over a week.   I then found my email spam folder had over 500 of the blooming things in it so I had to do something.  Initially I decided to moderate all comments on posts over 7 days old.  That still meant that my inbox was being bombarded though so I've made the decision, albeit temporary, hopefully, to use word verification. I'm hoping the spammers will understand that they are not going to win and give up.  Because of the way they 'spam' word verification should stop the comments coming through any which way.  Since I've put it on I've had no spam getting through :0)  Here's hoping it continues not to get through and here's hoping I shall be able to take it off again if when I start blogging properly again ...

I'm still around!

... not that you'd believe it with nearly 6 months of not one post :0(  What's been happening?  Something and nothing but what's happened mainly is that blogging mojo has gone totally awol.  There's certainly not been much crafting either.

June saw the now annual Crafter's House Party and didn't do much crafting there.  A lot of chillaxing and laughing but crafting?  Not so's you'd notice.  Camera was reasonably busy but had a 'new' one (Christmas present not used) to try out.  Trouble was, nobody was keen on me 'practising' so there were a fair amount of really random photos taken and nothing much specific.  Fewer attendees this year but it was the best so far.  Don't think we stopped laughing from the time we arrived until we left.

Once back home I decided to make a start on a photo book of all the House Parties since the inaugural one.  Next year's (yep, it's already booked) will be the 5th one so thought it would be good to have a photo book of the 5 years.  3 years are complete, this year's to finish and hope that there's space for next :0)

Weekend of the House Party, Paul had his elbow replacement.

Earlier in the year I made a start on redesign of the study, then got ill, had a holiday and the House Party.  Managed to pick it up again after the House Party and new furniture/storage was ordered.  What a palaver that turned out to be!  Ikea.  12 items ordered but couldn't be delivered for a week. Delivered early evening, items checked .... 9 of the 12 were damaged!  Next day spent on phone to get items redelivered and damaged items collected.  Another week's wait.  This time all items arrived undamaged then it was getting refunds for compensation on delivery blah, blah, blah.  Eventually got all that sorted out and nearly a month after items ordered they were able to be put together and in place.  Started finding homes for 'things' and then it all ground to a halt again.

Paul's elbow seemed to be getting worse, rather than better and he was in excruciating pain from the outset.  He lives with pain permanently but I've never seen him in tears from it before.  It was becoming quite common.  Consultant wanted him to wait a while to see if it settled.  It didn't and an x-ray showed the joint had moved, hence the pain.  It was decided he needed a different joint - longer stem - and have it cemented in.  This one hadn't been.  From that visit he left with a date for an 'urgent' op, just 3 weeks later ... except it wasn't!  Part wasn't in stock and the op was delayed a week.  He's now 2 weeks on from the replacement, replacement op and the difference is incredible.  Don't think the first op worked at all by what's happening now.  Trouble with all this has been that I've had to push him everywhere as initially he wasn't allowed to use the arm after the first op, then he couldn't because of the pain and now he can't yet, following the 2nd op.  I've been pushing him around indoors and doing all that needs doing since June ... all by myself!

Anyway, all this decided us that our bathroom needed updating.  21 years ago we had the bathroom done, extended, walls knocked down to bring bathroom and loo into one room.  Nothing done since then.  It was no longer suitable for purpose and we decided that a wet room was what we now needed so, quotes obtained and work has started.  Trouble is it's taking longer than the original conversion we had done 21 years ago!  We were told it would take 2 to 3 weeks.  We are now entering the 5th week and the tiling is just about finished (with a couple of problems to sort) then it's the finishing and sealing of them before things can be put in place.  To say we'll be glad to see it finished is an understatement.

Anyway, way back earlier this year, I asked our doc about pulmonary rehab classes to try to get my lungs working better, or at least, to be able to use them to the best of their ability.  Referred to a consultant at hospital and he agreed I'd be suitable so put me forward.  I started the rehab just over a week a go.  Twice a week for 8 weeks.  I've done 3 sessions and the last one was the hardest.  Seems my muscles are protesting - lol!  Physio says it's 'cos they're waking up.  Don't know about them waking up but with all that's going on and this all I want to do is sleep!

Our eldest grandchild got married at the beginning of September so he's now, not only made us great-grandparents, he's given us a granddaughter-in-law and a step-great-grandson.  More expense at Christmas - roflmao!

On a downside we unexpectedly lost one of our very good, long standing friends in April.  He was a real joker and it could only have been him that chose April 1st to leave us.  We can imagine him sitting laughing at us all.  It will certainly be a date we won't forget.  We think of him often ... he was just that sort of guy!

There have been a few crafty moments amongst all this - a weekend away on a Create and Craft weekend (the last morning of which was the day our friend died), days with friends but nothing much has been made and .... another jaunt has been booked with Jackie.  Staying closer to home this time and we're visiting Italy - Sorrento on the Bay of Naples :0)  Something to look forward to next April but it could well be the last jaunt we have although we have mooted a long weekend in Rome at some point.  We'll have to see.  So many places, so little time but mostly, so little money!  I was hoping for a cruise on the Oceana at some point.  My eldest nephew is a dancer on board but that's not to be - well, not while he's on it anyway.  He's planning on making this his last season but there may be other plans on the cards when Paul is back up and running again.  He's a lot of time to make up and I don't feel we celebrated our Silver wedding properly 2 years ago because of his problems

So there's a potted history of the past few months.  I'm bound to have missed something along the way.  Guess the next job should be to go through the photos and put them on record and they could well remind me of what I've missed out.  And the redesign of the study?  Full stop and door shut tight.  Will have to be picked up when the dust has settled from the bathroom makeover :0)

No excuse ...

... just not blogged, mind you have been busy-ish.  Been on another holibobs since last posted.  Mexico!

What a wonderful place it is too.  The history that oozes from the place is amazing!  Had a few problems with mobility in Mexico City - or rather, breathing, which made it difficult to move around.  I knew it was at altitude and knew I might find it more difficult than at sea level but it was harder than expected.  Came home and then discovered that I hadn't fully recovered from that virus I had early February (last post) for which I'd had the 2 courses of antibiotics and steroids.  I ended up on a 3rd course and having a chest x-ray.  Fortunately that didn't show anything different to what was already known but the fact I was still carrying a bit of the bug while away certainly wouldn't have helped me in Mexico City.  Not only was it at altitude, there was a fair amount of pollution as well.  Not obvious until you were at top of hotel and saw the fug at low level - or until you drove back into the city from outside and saw it from a distance.  Having said all that - I wouldn't have missed it for the world.  Would I go back?  Like yesterday I would!  Loved the place and would now like to see more of the country and/or revisit the sites we saw before but in my own time and at my own pace.  Beautiful country and beautiful people in the main - including the different nationalities we met on the tour - American, other Brits, Argentinians, Spanish and so on.

Cancun?  Nice and the hotel was luxurious but it could have been anywhere in the world that had sun, sea and sand.  Nothing to suggest it was even Mexico, especially as the main accent heard was American.

Mérida?  Our middle stay of the holiday.  Lovely city and easy to get around.  Central to travel out from as well.  Excellent!

Better late ...

... than never?  4+ months after we're back and I've got the photo book done covering our Cypriot holiday.  OK, I know the wedding album was done before Christmas but it's taken a while to edit the actual holiday photos, select from the many, many I took and then to squeeze those I wanted into the maximum number of pages.  Some of the ones I'd have liked in didn't make it in .... just ran out of space :0(  Anyways, it's now ordered and hopefully will be on it's way soon.  Just in time for me and Jackie to be taking off on our Mexican adventure.  There's still stories to tell but they'll have to wait.  

I've been quite poorly the past few weeks.  I got a bog standard, boring old cold but boy, the after effects have been bad.  Ended up having 2 courses of antibiotics and a short course of steroids.  Now it seems I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms from those steroids.  Hoping the next few days will see the end of them.  I've never had such weird feelings as I'm having now.  I had a few sleepless nights when I first started taking them but that's OK now but certainly not liking the withdrawal.  Still, first time I've ever taken steroids so had no idea how I'd react, while taking them or after.  Think I now know that I can't just stop taking them, even on a short course.  Lesson learnt and filed :0)

Catch up big time is due - but then there's a good 4 month's worth to go through ... Cypriot holiday, meets, Christmas ...

It's been a while ...

... coming but here's some pics from the holiday in Cyprus back in September/October.  The reason for the holiday in the first place.  Our eldest son's wedding.  The rest of the photos are still being worked on :0)

I produced this book using a selection of photos taken by me and the professional photographer.  I wanted it to tell the story of the day and I have to say I used quite a few of the professional photographs that the photographer didn't like enough to put in their preview album.  A disc of all the professional photos taken that day was purchased so we got all taken, including the ones the photographer himself didn't like.  I'm so glad, as there were some photographs I preferred to those he'd selected.  Just shows how subjective any art form is and, without that disc there would have been pics we'd never have seen.  I also searched Google for the words of the Cypriot marriage vows and I reproduced them within the book.

I've been unwell for the past week and finding it really hard to do anything.  I feel OK in myself now but the old lungs are not really performing for me so, although the mind is willing the body, unfortunately, isn't.   I've  missed an evening out and also 'missed' my 61st birthday on Monday as I wasn't at all well that day so spent most of it wrapped up in a blanket and sleeping!  The 2 little grand-daughter's had their 6th and 10th birthdays last week and we've had another 'first'.  Dad would have been 90 on Sunday, the same day as Emma's 10th birthday.  Such a shame he missed it by just 6 weeks ....

I've found ...

... a pretty good reason to 'keep on blogging'!  How's about turning your blog into a book in the interests of family history ... well, in my case anyway.  http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook  Think I may, at some point, be glad that this blog never really materialised into a 'specialist' craft blog and that it did become a rambling about my life in general - a diary type blog.

I'm starting to get itchy fingers to get back into this blogging lark.  I know I've a lot of catch up to do going back a few months but all Dad's bits have now been sorted out.  The funeral (cremation) took place in horrendous weather. Dad having the last laugh methinks as we all got blown to smithereens and soaked to the skin, then the sun came out in the afternoon.  We did leave the funeral to Morecambe and Wise singing 'Bring me Sunshine' *grin* It was a totally secular funeral service.

The flat has been emptied with most going to a local hospice charity to increase their coffers.  Wardrobes were dumped but everything else will be of use to somebody, not least the charity.  I sold a couple of things that paid for the wardrobe clearance and carpet cleaning.  Keys were returned yesterday so, once the last of any bills come in it's all dealt with.  

Today is the one month anniversary of his death and his death was the end of a generation in my family.  It seems longer and yet still so new.  2 days ago there was a new beginning.  The start of a new generation.   My first great-grandchild, was born.

I promise ...

... things will be better in 2012.  Well, I hope so anyway!  Been so much going on in my life over the past few months that I really, really haven't had the mojo to blog.  I guess I've had the time but, as previously mentioned, not the inclination.  Strange thing is, when I started this blog it, unexpectedly, saw me through a bad time with Mum taking ill and dying.  I could have used it again to see me through another bad time.  Dad took ill and he unexpectedly passed away on the 14th December.  The funeral is on Monday 3rd January.  It's not been a good end to the year but - 2012 will see a new chapter start in my life.

I hope everyone has had a good Christmas and that you have a great New Year and that 2012 brings you everything you would wish for in your life.

Still not blogging ...

... and it's not good.  Been busy - and stressed - though and, when not busy or stressed, felt so drained I've had no energy to blog.  I know it doesn't take much energy to blog but that's how I've felt.  I've still been sorting photos from Cyprus though and I've also had to think about a Christmas pressie for my long time American penpal.  I usually only send her a calendar from our area but she loves them, especially as I get calendars showing the area as it is now and in times gone past.  She's an historian so anything historical is of interest to her.  Strangely, she's an American and an American historian, with no PC!  

Anyways, last year I had probs finding the next calendar in the series as the newsagent I bought them from had changed ownership.  This year I decided to do something different.  I was going to compile a calendar using my own photos of me and my family and happenings from each month of the year.  I then found something even better (well, I think it is) .... a Birthday Calendar!  It's never-ending.  Just the months and numbers but no days added so she can display it for as long as she wishes to, year after year after year.  There was a choice of how many photos (1,2 or 4) to put on each month (and the cover) so apart from the cover I chose the largest number of photos on each month.  Those for November and December are taken from last year. 

There is also an option to add people's birthdays but, as I don't know any of her family's birthdays I could only add hers and mine.  I'm now thinking of making one for myself .... would be soooooooooo useful!

Bonus is, the company have sent me an online version I can share, in book form so ..... here's what I've done in all it's glory.  Just picture it spiral bound at the top with a hangy thingy!  I hope she likes it.

We're all ready to go ....

Picked up shirt from M&S - too small, so it goes back when we're home. Had a lovely facial and had to take a trip to local garden centre to get the fish a slow release food block.  The fishy place in our village has closed it's doors.  Don't know when that happened but think the fishy place at the garden centre may have taken their business.  Ironical really 'cos they used to be the fishy place at the garden centre but then the florist wanted bigger floor area and they were pushed out. Now there's another fishy business taken floor space ... and sent the other one under by the seem of things.

Chris's kit.  This one came just at the right time.  Meet on the Saturday, youngest's anniversary on the Monday.  Guess which card I gave 'em - *lol*  I loved it.

The following is not a shoebox card but one I made all on my own, out of my own head.  Jennie has moved away from the area last week (she lived in Southwater, near Horsham). She hosted several meets at her house and also arranged the Christmas meets for the southern ladies. She's now moved to the Midlands and I'm sure she'll be doing the same in that area once she's settled in.  The following card is the card I made to wish her and her hubby well in their new home. The stamp is a Stamps Away one from Clever Cut although I can't find it on their site (or any of their single stamps for that matter. The greeting is Rachel Anne Miller from Stampendous and the flowers are E-Line ones from my stash. Kept it pretty much monochromatic - coffee and cream, with a touch of gold. Bling is also from my stash. Corners of plaques were punched with Woodware reverse corner punch

Now the blog will be quiet for the next couple of weeks while I'm off sunning myself and playing 'mother of the groom'. Hopefully there will be plenty to share by way of pics on my return :0)

Phew! ...

... done! Can't believe I managed to stay on track. Thought, for a while, that it wouldn't happen. Bonus though - got both of our clothes in one case and still got weight to spare. Smaller case is taking shoes, sponge bags and all other incidentals and still plenty of weight to spare.  May just throw in a couple more tops :0)  

Now I can relax tomorrow, which is what I intended. Facial tomorrow afternoon and will be good to go and have that without worrying about anything. Mind you, I feel as though I've run a marathon today so it's probably just as well I can relax tomorrow *LOL*

Another couple of shoebox cards ...

Cally's kit.  This one was based on a couple of cards we made at the Glitterpot earlier in the year. Then we made a birthday card and one that I'm using for son's wedding card. This time it Cally did it as a Christmas card - and very successfully I think. Will be making more like this myself as I've found my pack of coloured tissue so a variety of coloured flowers can be made *grin*

Elaine gave us a stamped image which we could colour, or not. She also included a second stamped image so we could decoupage if we wanted. I didn't. Cute one, this and I liked the tiny alphabet stamp set used to stamp the To Ewe. I've looked on t'internet for it since but haven't been able to find it :0(

Ha! I'm on a ...

... roll!  Another day that's gone to plan - after a visit from the littlie granddaughter's and their Dad. 

Suitcases to hand, meds together, all batteries charged ... and my Kindle. Paul has put out what he needs to have pressed before packing and I've done my list of what I'm taking. Just hope it all goes to plan tomorrow! Paul is out early to collect his new specs and while he's gone I shall be ironing what needs ironing and then it's down to packing.  I'm hoping to get it all packed, or the bulk of it, tomorrow. It's been a while since I packed for 2 of us *LOL* Most of my packing of recent times has been for me only. Don't want to be stressing about it on Tuesday although ..... I've a shirt to collect from M&S on Tuesday.  Yep, we ordered one to be collected from the local branch. 

Now for another couple of shoebox cards ...

Toni's *grin* Now this one I really did mess up!  So much so that I was gonna have to bring it home and find some different card to mount the coffee mug onto but Greta came to the rescue. She phoned home to get her OH to raid her cardstock and get him to drop some up. It duly arrived, a choice of 2 shades of cream and I started again ... from scratch! The card you see here is not the card I started off with, with the exception of the plain brown card, however everything else is exactly as intended :0)

Trace's offering - a giant 8 x 8 inch card. Never made one as big before but it showed that, with the right embellishments, it can be very successful. Not sure I'll make many, if any, of this size off my own bat but I like it, none-the-less. Wish I'd thought about chopping out the middle of the plain sparkly backing card for use on something else but I didn't. Seems such a waste to have such beautiful card hidden behind that pretty snowflake backing paper *grin*

Oh yes! ...

... a day that has gone to plan! Now that doesn't happen often. In fact it's extremely rare *grin*  My plan for today ... make/get/find cards for the wedding, eldest granddaughter's birthday (she's 15 while we're away) and other occasions I shall miss 'cos won't be in country and ... 'tis all done. On top of that I've got passport and insurance docs together, along with flight documents and currency. One other job had to be done and one I didn't want to do but first .... another couple of shoebox cards.

Nic's offering. Nic is Greta's daughter-in-law and, although she couldn't make the meet she still wanted to take part in the shoebox card swap and this is the one she gave. This is another I messed up from the original design but, in this instance, unless you saw the sample and read the instructions you wouldn't know *grin*  I really like this one - well, I like them all but some a little more than others and this is one of them *lol* The reindeer image is an SU stamp.

This one's my offering, or at least the sample I did. It's a Kanban Wobbler, the new Christmas ones and such an improvement although, apart from putting it together there's nothing to do. ALL pieces are now included in the kits, including the envelope. They are foiled and glittered as required and all die cut. Everybody had their choice of design as they were all different. The only problem I have with them is getting the head to wobble. No matter what I do it just doesn't happen successfully so this one had a static head and became a rocker - *LOL*

The other job I had to do? Pack up the 4 packs of FlexMarkers I took delivery of on Tuesday. They're going back from whence they came. I'm so disappointed with them. After I'd ordered them I started reading 'stuff' on forums about problems people were having with them. It seems that they need 'priming' for the colour to come through to the brush tip, particularly with the lighter colours. I went and looked at the Flexmarker site and, in the FAQs it confirms this. OK, prime when received. Only takes a few minutes and only needs doing once. Oh, if only! 

Most people seem to be having probs with 4 or 5 of these pens. I bought 4 sets, 24 pens and after approximately 8 hours of priming I've given up on them. I have 15 pens I don't find at all acceptable and only about 5 that are perfectly OK. The others I'd accept ... just, but with reservations. The problem? I managed to get colour coming through the brush tip on all of them - eventually (I should say that there is no problem with the chisel tip and this is used as the control colour) however, the colour is either completely different to the colour from the chisel tip or is anything from one to several shades lighter. Not only that but where I've spent so long scribbling in circles the brush tip has lost the fine line ability that should be possible with them. These pens have had more use trying to 'prime' them in the past few days than all of my ProMarkers put together over the last 2 years and they're just not right.

Can't comment on what they're like to colour anything with - just wish I could - but the brush tip feels lovely going round in circles for about 8 hours. Just a pity about the RSI it gives you while doing it *LOL* Anyway, they're now all packed up with a covering note and I've included a swatch to show the retailer what the heck I'm talking about. I have another swatch if Letraset deign to contact me - but I forgot to do one for my records so hoping a scan will work as they're now all packed ready to send.

Called into ...

... Dad this morning. We were supposed to have a meeting with a Lay Assessor over the care he receives.  Independant assessors that report back to the Council with their findings as to the quality of care that is given by the various care agencies. The lady phoned me this morning to cancel the appointment as her hubby was ill and she had to be with him - he'd suffered a mini stroke last week, apparently. As Dad was expecting me ... and her ... I went anyway and glad I did. I checked with the office that he'd got enough cash available for his shopping while I was away and they told me that he'd been referred back to the Occupational Therapist as the carers were really concerned about his lack of mobility - as am I since it's got decidedly worse since his last fall. In fact, he's not attempting to move at all on his own any more and the visits he's been having from the physio haven't helped. He doesn't put the work in when nobody is there. Anyway, OT is calling on Thursday so I can't be there to know what's happening.  

I phoned the physio when I got home. I'd not been able to make the last appointment he'd had with Dad but he also hadn't reported back to me so thought, with the news I'd had, that I ought to see what was happening from his point of view. Seems he's been more involved than the carers. I got the impression it's him that's instigated the meeting with the OT. I'm thinking it will be hoists fitted in lounge and bedroom as the carers are having problems getting Dad to stand, let alone getting him to walk anywhere. There was an incident this past few days where 2 of them couldn't get him standing. I'm really thinking he's not in the right place for the level of care he obviously needs now and I'm thinking they are of the same opinion. Will have to see what the outcome is after this visit with the OT. It's a worry that's for sure.

Anyways, not much I can do at the moment, if there is at all, so no point worrying.

Jan's kit - Sizzix flower die ... I know 'cos I've got that one and had it years :0). I think it's possibly a discontinued Sizzix die now (was originally Ellison) except ... it's available via Stampin' Up.  There are also punched blossoms of some sort with a Craftwork Cards greeting.

Kim's .... now you wouldn't think that you could mess this one up would you? Ha! Well, I can! Spot the deliberate mistake. I decided that I wanted the stripes going horizontal so that's how I put the backing paper on to the base card then thought, should have checked the size and trimmed as now I've not got even borders.  Then Kim tells me that she'd cut it to exactly the right size .... if I'd used the backing paper the way she'd intended - vertically! Ho hum - it's a design feature ... not! Got to find some way of overcoming the imbalance, which I'm sure I will eventually. Love Rudolph though and I've got all those punches, or similar enough, to make him again ... and again ... and again ..... :0)

... day and one leaving me feeling very tired.  Only shopping (oh, how I dislike shopping) but at least we have enough food to see us through until we leave and for a couple of days when home.  An online shop will be first job when back :0)  Tried to get Paul a white, self striped shirt for the wedding.  He's done his usual of leaving it all to the last minute.  Got him a boring plain white shirt last week which fits him but a self-striped one I'd also bought didn't and shop didn't have next size.  Trip to M&S called for but ..... unless he wanted to pay an arm and a leg for something that will probably not see the light of day again it was a total no-no.  They'd got shirts we were interested in on-line but they weren't in store!  No time now to order one and get it here so it's the plain, boring old white shirt for him.  He's had the trousers a couple of months or more.  No suit, it's not called for. Beach-ish wedding, casual and smart.  Why he didn't sort out the shirt at the same time I've no idea and no amount of reminders has jockeyed him along.  He's bought new wheels for his wheelchair and a new cushion cover (which can't be seen once bum is in situ!) but a shirt to complete his 'outfit'?  Nah!  Men, eh?

Currency is now in our sticky mitts so at least we can pay for those little 'extras' that might come along .. like a few trips out for me, if not for him oh, and a few visits to the Spa methinks.  He says he's going to be using the gym.  Hmmmm!

Have to admit, I've had '40 winks' since we've been home - *LOL* Now, that's a sign of getting old :0(

Last weekend I thought I'd got the chance of a BOGOF on a photobook so put together a small 'wedding' album of Matt and Anie's wedding in Canterbury and and the ceremony Bali.  Came together quite quickly for a change but I guess it was more the fact there weren't so many photos I wanted to use.  I just wanted a small book to supplement the large one of the whole trip.  Anyways, book complete I go through the order process thinking I'll order one for me and one for Jackie as a surprise and what happens?  The BOGOF was on L books (A4-ish) and I'd made a medium sized one.  Didn't want any bigger so I left it, thinking that another offer would come along fitting the size I wanted.  Well, today an offer arrived.  Didn't give a BOGOF unfortunately but did give £10 off so I've ordered it.  I use Albelli for the small books (must try them for a larger one at some point) and you can't 'share' your book unless you've ordered, not like you can share Photobox ones, ordered or not.  They've just sent me the link to the book so I can share ....
